Vintage Rex 5th Ave makeup compact estimated to be from the 1930s. The cover features a gold-tone and aqua border with a pastel green snakeskin-looking middle. When you open it up, it reveals a gold-tone interior with mirror at the top and a tiny door that displays the brand name Rex Fifth Ave. If you slide the little latch to the side, the door pops open and reveals what was formerly makeup powder. It’s only a couple inches by a couple inches. Vintage condition… mirror does have several tarnishing which is probably to be expected for its age, some marks on the back.

These little makeup compacts are fantastic for carrying small items in your handbag. They can also be upgraded to hold your makeup of choice! (Plenty of tutorials on YT for this)
